In November, we hired our fourth and final new addition to the IGNIFI team for 2020, Designer Ella Clasper.
Along with providing an extra resource that will allow our design team to continue to meet the increased demand for digital assets in 2020 and beyond, this position was created in line with our plans to grow the business and future focus. One of the key aims we had in mind when creating this position was to create engaging, on-brand content for our expanding content marketing strategy.
Who is Ella?
Ella is a talented and innovative designer who graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2017 with a degree in Illustration and Design. Her most recent position was as a Graphic Designer and Creative Tutor with a Sunderland-based design agency and social enterprise aiming to promote education to marginalised groups in the local area.
In this role, she gained experience working on a variety of internal design projects including a yearly review, graphics for social media campaigns and even concept art for a local café/bar. Alongside this, her role also involved agency work for external clients including a design rebrand for a new luxury vodka.
This latest role at IGNIFI required a strong understanding and experience of social media, along with versatility to be able to work for clients across a wide range of human and animal health topics and formats. We found Ella to be the ideal candidate and have enjoyed welcoming her to the team remotely.
“We have appointed Ella after an extensive search. In this current environment the volume of applicants has been very high, but thankfully, Ella stood out from the crowd. She has already shown that she possesses both the skills and personality to strengthen the design team and ensure that IGNIFI has the right people in place to grow in the future.”
Ella’s Work
Ella’s portfolio so far includes commercial, voluntary and personal projects and demonstrates a variety of skills and inspirations. Here are some of our favourites:
A rebrand for a new luxury vodka centred around the theme of alchemy
This flyer was designed for the University of Sunderland fitness classes that could be booked via an app.
Ella is involved in the local music scene and has produced album artwork and materials for several bands, including her own.
A retro sci-fi comic landscape – an example of Ella’s personal art
A set of cover images prepared for a social media campaign for Black History Month
This image formed part of an end of year review at Ella’s previous company
Our aim is for Ella to hit the ground running, working on both client projects and our own content marketing materials as she adapts to her new work environment in the run-up to Christmas.
“I’m delighted to have been offered the position at IGNIFI, especially in the current environment. I already feel part of a fantastic team who have all been incredibly welcoming (especially when you haven’t met most of them in person!) It’s really exciting to further my skills and progress my career with a great local business who are also looking to grow.”
