Our latest ‘Meet the Team’ is all about Senior Account Manager, Liam Murtha. In this blog, we discuss Liam’s background, journey at IGNIFI so far and the valuable contributions he has brought to our team.
Media-savvy Account Management
Liam initially joined IGNIFI as an intern in 2017, whilst studying at the University of Sunderland. After graduating with a degree in Media, Culture and Communications, Liam joined IGNIFI on a full-time basis as an Account Executive.
Before joining the IGNIFI team, Liam gained experience working as a Marketing and Events Administrator for the University of Sunderland. In this role, Liam worked across the University Corporate and Professional Education (CaPE) and UniSpace, co-ordinating printed and digital marketing campaigns.
During his seven years at IGNIFI, Liam has shown impressive progress, moving up the ranks from Account Executive to Account Manager, and finally to Senior Account Manager last year. He has taken on greater responsibilities with key clients, consistently meeting tight deadlines, and now plays a crucial role in managing client campaigns and growing key accounts.
Alongside his normal responsibilities, Liam has also been proactive in gaining several qualifications to expand his skillset. Since joining IGNIFI, Liam has earned a NVQ Level 2 in Photography, undertaken training in Pharmacovigilance (PV) social media monitoring and the ABPI code, and become fully Veeva Certified.
Award-Winning Campaign Management
On a day-to-day basis, Liam is instrumental in the management of various key client accounts. In particular, he supports the Client Services and Studio teams with his extensive animal health knowledge. Having supported global marketing campaigns on industry-leading products, Liam has developed and demonstrated a diverse range of skills that ensure our clients continue to excel in their spaces. Liam’s projects have seen repeated success in the Veterinary Marketing Awards, helping him to develop an understanding of what makes an ‘award winning’ marketing and communications campaign.
Liam also regularly represents IGNIFI at a range of industry events, acting as a face of IGNIFI in both online and in-person environments.
Outside of animal health, Liam also contributes to the development of e-learning resources for our human health clients. Managing a diverse range of accounts, Liam has become skilled in managing print and digital-based campaigns alike and is comfortable working to tight deadlines across a range of responsibilities. Within the Client Services team, he is also our resident internal systems guru. Liam is always willing to share his knowledge and provide support in budget management, both on a case-by-case basis and holding group sessions to help our team upskill.
