The new year brings change at IGNIFI and here, in our first blog of 2023, we’d like to share some exciting news regarding our new senior leadership team. We discuss the changes to the team, including the appointment of a new Managing Director, and how this will support the next phase of planned growth and development for the agency.

Introducing our senior new leadership team

The beginning of 2021 brought with it the acquisition of IGNIFI by marketing agency group, Selbey Anderson, and now, as 2023 begins, the next phase of IGNIFI’s future is set in motion. As part of a planned succession, our long-standing Managing Director, Dave Watson, will now pass the torch to John Horn.

As our former Operations Director, John has been a fundamental part of IGNIFI’s ongoing success and growth for more than 25 years. John has risen through the ranks of the agency and has vast experience in a variety of client service and management roles, with expertise in customer care, management information systems, resource planning, team and performance management. Through managing the organic growth of key accounts, as well as significant involvement in new business development, John has a solid knowledge of our clients, their brands’ strategic direction, and the creative and digital projects that IGNIFI are developing.

John will be supported in his new role by an expert leadership team, which includes Group Account Director, Sarah Thompson; Strategic Healthcare Director, Joe McCarthy; Digital Director, Craig Lambert; and Finance Director, Ruth Green. Individually the team all possess extensive knowledge of IGNIFI’s clients and their challenges, and collectively they have vast experience working with brands in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

“I am very excited by this opportunity to lead our new senior leadership team and I look forward to utilising our many decades of healthcare agency and industry experience to further support clients with their marketing communication needs. We enter 2023 with a collective drive to build on the solid foundations that already exist and with a shared determination to continue to deliver IGNIFI’s exceptional service.

An exciting future ahead

For the past couple of years IGNIFI has been on an upward trajectory, benefitting from an increase in demand from our healthcare clients for creative marketing campaigns. In particular, there has been a rapid digital transformation across the healthcare industry and the need for agencies, like IGNIFI, to support pharma and other healthcare brands to stay at the forefront of creative and digital communications has never been greater.

Over the course of 2022, IGNIFI expanded its client portfolio and continued to widen its team of talented experts, increasing the agency headcount to 30 members of staff, in order to support client needs and future expansion. This is expected to continue as we move into 2023 and we are actively recruiting for a number of roles to further support the agency’s increasing business demand.

And so, we enter the new year with the same focus, direction and values as before, but with a renewed energy and a palpable excitement about what the future holds for IGNIFI. With John at the helm driving things forward, combined with our recent new business wins, there is a definite sense of optimism among the newly formed senior leadership team, and the wider agency as a whole.

“I am delighted that this special agency, which myself and others have dedicated many years to building is in safe and capable hands, ready for further growth in 2023 and beyond. It’s been a privilege to work alongside colleagues and clients that make a real difference to the lives of people and animals. I wish John and the IGNIFI team all the best with supporting our healthcare clients to achieve even more success together in the future.
