Before the IGNIFI team and our clients take a well-earned break for Christmas, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2024. It’s been a year defined by dedication and teamwork, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

From adapting to changing client needs to achieving important milestones, 2024 has been a transformative year. Here’s a look back at some of the key moments that made this year so impactful.

An evolving landscape

No two years are ever the same, and 2024 has been no exception. The healthcare industry has continued to evolve, bringing change for many of our clients, including adjustments to budgets and resources. While challenges have been part of the journey, there have also been remarkable achievements, with some client brands celebrating record-breaking sales.

We’ve been proud to continue to support our clients through these changing times, helping them navigate the opportunities that come with a rapidly shifting digital landscape. The growing demand for more targeted and personalised outreach has been accompanied by the transformative advances in technology including AI. To stay ahead, our team has embraced upskilling in key areas, ensuring we’re ready to support our clients as they adjust to this steep adoption curve.

This year, we’ve seen increased interest in workshops, which our team has been delighted to lead. These sessions have allowed us to share insights and strategies that we’ll continue to expand on in 2025.

We’re also thrilled to have welcomed new clients while continuing to strengthen our relationships with long-standing partners. Providing strategic input and supporting clients in launching new brands and delivering standout promotional campaigns has been incredibly rewarding. We’re proud to have played a role in their successes and look forward to seeing them grow again next year.

Awards and events

In March, we were proud to be awarded the ‘Digital Innovation Award’ at the Veterinary Marketing Awards for our work with Boehringer Ingelheim. This recognition underscores our commitment to delivering innovative and impactful digital strategies in the veterinary space.

For the second year in a row, we were named finalists for the prestigious ‘Digital Agency of the Year’ accolade at the PM Society Digital Awards. Being shortlisted in this category alongside some of the largest healthcare agencies in the industry is a huge accomplishment and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

This year also marked our debut submission to the PM LiVE Top 40 Creative Healthcare Agency list. We were absolutely thrilled to be ranked 19th out of all the agencies in the UK, securing a spot in the top 20. This recognition highlights our continued growth and the exceptional quality of work we deliver for our clients in the healthcare sector.

In addition to these accolades, we were incredibly proud to receive certification as a ‘Great Place to Work UK.’ Achieving this distinction on our first submission is a wonderful reflection of the positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment we’ve built within our team. It’s an achievement that means a lot to us, as we believe that a happy team leads to great work for our clients.

Our team

At IGNIFI, our people are the driving force behind our success and the reason why our client relationships continue to flourish. This year, we’ve been thrilled to welcome two talented new team members: Medical Account Executive Molly Lee and Account Manager Richard Walters. Both have already made valuable contributions and are helping to further strengthen our team.

We also took the time to celebrate some significant work anniversaries. Senior Account Manager Susan Conlon marked an impressive 25 years of dedicated service with IGNIFI, while Proofreader Andrea Williamson reached an incredible 40 years with the company. Their long-standing commitment and expertise continue to inspire us all.

February was an especially joyful month for the IGNIFI family, as Group Client Services Director Sarah Thompson welcomed baby Ivy into the world.

In addition to celebrating these milestones, we’ve remained focused on giving back. Our fundraising efforts for Anthony Nolan, in memory of our beloved colleague Claire, reached a significant achievement this year as we surpassed our £4,000 target. This success was made possible through a combination of team events, including a bake-off and our second team walk, as well as individual challenges. Among the standout individual efforts was Planning Manager John Rolt’s incredible 11-mile swim across the length of Lake Windermere, and Digital Engagement Manager Laura Smith’s inspiring completion of the London Marathon, marking her first marathon.

Our team’s commitment to personal and professional development continues to grow. We’ve been proactive in advancing our skills, with many members taking part in Veeva accreditations and attending the UK Veeva Content Partner Day back in June. This is in addition to enhancing our design, creative, and digital capabilities through various courses throughout the year. We’ve collectively invested over 2000 hours in eLearning and completed 600 courses on the Udemy platform in 2024 alone, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to growth and excellence.

I want to take a moment to firstly thank every member of the IGNIFI team. Your expertise, commitment, and positivity not only drive our achievements but are also the reason our clients trust and choose us.

To our valued clients, whether we’ve worked together for years or just begun our partnership, thank you for your continued support. We’re excited to collaborate and achieve even more together in 2025.

Every year brings its own unique challenges, and this one was no exception. As the year winds down, I hope you take time to enjoy a well-deserved break.

Relax, recharge, and let’s embrace the opportunities that 2025 will bring.
