IGNIFI studio manager John Rolt charity swim Coniston

This weekend, our studio manager John Rolt took the plunge and swam the length of Coniston Water to raise money for the North East charity ‘If U Care Share Foundation’.

After an exhausting swim, John completed the 5.25 mile challenge in 3 hours 33 minutes, and has so far raised a total of £625.

If U Care Share is an important charity to us here at IGNIFI, and one that we’ve supported in the past. In light of this, IGNIFI have decided to match employee donations, bringing the total sponsorship up to £800 and smashing John’s original target of £500.

IF U Care Share Foundation

Created in 2011, but dating back to 2005, If U Care Share is a North East based charity set up to save lives, support communities and prevent suicide.

While suicide remains an issue globally, the North East is particularly affected. Our local region consistently has one of the highest suicide rates in England and incidences appear to be rising.

IUCS aims to challenge this trend by increasing the conversation around mental health and lending an ear to those who are suffering. The charity also provides support and resources to the families and friends who have lost a loved one to suicide.

“If U Care Share is a charity close to the heart of the team at IGNIFI. John’s effort to swim the length of Coniston to raise funds for the charity deserves all of our support and to reflect this the company is doubling the donations made by all of his colleagues at IGNIFI”

– Dave Watson, IGNIFI Managing Director
