We are thrilled to be sharing more exciting news about the IGNIFI team. Our Digital Designer Lucy Rimmer has been promoted to Senior Digital Designer. In this blog, we find out more about Lucy’s new role, and her career journey at IGNIFI so far.
Our New Senior Digital Designer
Lucy has been a vital part of the IGNIFI team since she joined us over 7 years ago. She has worked with all of our life science client brands, across a multitude of therapy areas developing digital design solutions for a wide variety of channels and formats.
In her current role, Lucy gets involved with an array of digital projects. This includes the creation of interactive eLearning modules utilising Articulate Storyline 360, developing animated web adverts, video, animations and producing high end PowerPoint presentations. Lucy is a highly proficient Veeva specialist and is responsible for the design and development of Veeva closed loop marketing (CLM) presentations, Veeva Approved Emails and fragments. Lucy also supports our clients with their CMS based website updates and maintenance.
In the time since joining our team Lucy has been involved with some key projects for our clients and some of her career highlights at IGNIFI include:
- Working alongside an external behavioural science team to develop a new, intelligent, interactive Veeva CLM presentation for one of our rare disease clients. This involved utilising custom JavaScript to push the boundaries of Veeva’s capability to deliver a tool that combined patient profile journeys, intelligent menus and a multiple-choice resource library of fragments that could be sent via an approved email.
- Creating of a suite of eLearning modules that brought together both interactivity, animation and video. This elevated the content to ensure maximum engagement and interaction, delivering what would have normally been a quite “text heavy” topic in a manner that was both absorbing and memorable.
- Building a set of interactive expandable HTML adverts for our infant nutrition client. These combined animation and interactive quizzing and became their best performing adverts. This also allowed for collation of the quiz analytics which helped inform future targeted messaging.
In her new role, Lucy will be working closely with our Digital Director Craig, taking on further responsibilities to support with the development of engaging digital solutions and campaigns for our global and local clients.
Internally, Lucy’s new role will also see her more actively involved with mentoring and developing the skills of our more junior digital team members. This will allow us to widen our internal skillset further to stay at the forefront of healthcare and industry trends and provide our clients with the support they need developing omnichannel campaigns.
“Lucy is an integral part of the Digital and wider IGNIFI studio team, regularly giving up her time to support and mentor other team members. Her knowledge, skillset and approachable nature make her the perfect person to fill this role. Lucy is dedicated to generating the best possible solutions for our clients and this promotion will allow her to further develop others in the Digital Team, broaden their skills and knowledge.”
Lucy’s IGNIFI journey
Straight after graduating from Sunderland University with a BA (Hons) in Multimedia and Graphic Design, Lucy joined IGNIFI as a Junior Designer in August 2015. During her time at university, Lucy had ambitions of working in an agency environment but did not want to move away from the North East. So, when she spotted the initial vacancy outlining the type of work involved and the range of clients IGNIFI work with, Lucy in her own words said she felt this was ‘the perfect opportunity’ to apply for.
In the seven years of being at IGNIFI, this is Lucy’s second promotion, which has been facilitated by her enthusiasm to learn new skills and gain further accreditations in a variety of systems and platforms. With the onset of a rapid digital transformation in the healthcare sector in 2020, it was essential for our team to quickly learn how to help our clients shift to a new, digital-first mindset. Lucy used this as an opportunity to excel in her career by applying her creative design skills to new ways of working digitally with innovative platforms and more interactive formats. As a result, we have witnessed Lucy grow her digital skillset enormously over the last three years and is a real asset to our team.
“Over the last 7 years, I’ve loved my time working with everyone at IGNIFI. There is a great environment where everyone is given the chance to learn new skills and ask questions to other members of the team. I’m looking forward to supporting other members of the team to develop any digital skills and helping provide the best outcomes for our client’s projects.”
